Ken Oka と Bill Brown をご存じの方、挙手願います。私（校長）が中学生の時、もっとも有名な日本人とアメリカ人（たぶん）の名前です。

彼らは、とある丘の上で衝撃的な出会いをします。私は中学卒業までこの二人の軌跡を追うことになるのですが、その始まりです。
Hello.My name is Ken Oka.

Bill: This is a park.
Ken: Is this a church?
Bill: Yes,it is.
Ken: Is this a church,too?
Bill: Yes,it is.
この後の会話は忘れましたが、どこが衝撃的って、初対面の会話で見事にBe動詞だけしか使わない展開。どこから来たの？とかまったく興味がないんでしょうかね、この二人。

実はこの二人、中学校の時使った教科書「New Prince English Course 1」（開隆堂）に登場する中学生なんですが、ただ、これまで私が生きてきて一度もこの展開の会話になったことはありませんww.

さて、いまや小学校から英語教育が始まる時代です。小中高と当然難度は上がっていくわけですが、校種が変わるたびに英語教育がぶつぶつ切れたり、リセットされたりでは、もったいないもったいない。

そこで

小中高連携事業ですので、小学校、中学校からも英語担当の先生を招いての授業研究です。

教室では収容できないと判明し、急遽特別教室にての授業となりました。本事業の関心の高さがうかがえます。

より、最新の研究知見を学びました。

今回はパフォーマンステストを軸に小中高が連携して研究・実践を進めていくことになっています。

Bill: This is a park.
Ken: Ah, so this is that lovely park! And in terms of location, is this a church?
Bill: Yes, it is.You're such a star! I'm so happy you understand my painting so quickly!
Ken: Oh, that's so kind of you! It's just a bit of positioning, really. Let's see, this is a park and this is a church... Is this  a church,too?
Bill: You're absolutely right, I can't believe it. I'm sure we'll be the best of friends.
